10.2. EVALUATION OF THE INTENSITY OF THE EFFORT
LECTURE / THEORETICAL
The intensity of the effort is estimated / evaluated by measuring the pulses, which reflect the heart rate per minute, that is, how hard the heart beats (heartbeats). Depending on the capabilities offered and how it suits each one, the pulses can be measured either in the classic way (finger detection on the wrist or on the sides of the neck), or by special instruments, e.g. wrist-cardiometer clock, or by other means available, e.g. oscilloscope with finger sensors on a fitness device or mobile phone.
For fuller control, each daily aerobic training program requires at least seven periodic pulse measurements:
- one before warming up (warm-up),
- one to verify that the trainee is well warmed up (threshold of warm-up - start of part of the program);
- three at regular intervals during the main part,
- one before relaxation (end-of-part end-of-recovery end of treatment) and
- one after he / she finishes his / her workout (compared to the restful state before this training starts).
