6.1. WEIGHT TRAINING EXERCISES / INDOOR - GYM
Aim: The purpose of this training module is to familiarize you with the basic exercises performed in a gym's weight room (resistance machines, free weights, cardio instruments). You will also learn the safety / security measures you need to take to prevent injuries and what exercises are contraindicated when the trainee already has an injury problem.
Learning Outcomes: By completing this course you will know which muscles are involved in each exercise - exactly what it does exercise-, its biomechanically safe and efficient performance, how you are going to teach it, the criteria you will choose against other exercises, and how you will perform it as well as how you make adjustments depending on the client you have to train.
