The REFORMER is the creation of a man referred to as the genius of the human body, J. Pilates, certainly a man far ahead of his time. Its original name was UNIVERSAL REFORMER.
Today it can be made either of wood, e.g. beech, or of other materials, such as aluminum, or of various materials in combination, e.g. wood and aluminum.
Although the basic characteristics of the classic REFORMER are specific, depending on the manufacturer, there may be differences in construction materials, dimensions, the ability to add parts, its settings - adaptations, the height of the platform in relation to the ground, portability /folding ability, whether it is combined with the use of a tower (PILATES TOWER or REFORMER TOWER), etc.
