5. THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF PILATES METHOD
Reflecting on Joseph Pilates' influences from yoga, martial arts, etc., we note that his method was based on the principle of movement and then, with the help of his students, the methodology was built, which consists of 6 basic principles:
